Georges LAPCHINE
Georges-Youri LAPCHINE : peintre russe, né à Moscou en 1885. Mort en 1951.
Peintre de figures, paysages, postimpressionniste. Elève de Fernand Cormon et Léon Lhermitte, il exposait régulièrement au Salon des Artistes Français.
Bien que de facture classique, la peinture de Lapchine est claire, et à subi l’influence de l’impressionnisme. Il aime peindre les variations de la lumère à travers les saisons, les effets de soir ou de matin. Ses paysages enneigés sont les plus recherchés.
