Elève de Prosper MARILHAT, célèbre peintre orientaliste,
Duvieux est essentiellement reconnu pour ses délicates
vues de Venise et de Constantinople.
Peintre de scènes de genre, sujets orientaux, figures, paysages animés, il débuta au Salon des Artistes Français de 1880.
Ses œuvres figurent dans plusieurs musées français.
